Pressure tube support structure
Description
In the pressure tube support structure, since helical spring members have been used, fluids flowing in parallel with the axial direction of the pressure tube flow along the helical portion, and the high temperature fluids are transported near the surface of the callandria tube. Accordingly, there is a problem that the amount of heat transmitted is increased. In view of the above, the pressure tube supporting structure member is so formed as to have a curved surface in parallel with the axial direction of the pressure tube. Further, it is constituted such that the curved surface is brought into contact with the surface of the pressure tube and the callandria tube at an angle of contact other than 90deg. As a result, the fluids move only in the direction parallel with the axial direction and not in the vertical direction. The high temperature fluids at the periphery of the pressure tube are not introduced near the callandria tube by support structure, so that the amount of heat transferred from the pressure tube to the fluids is reduced to improve the thermal shielding effect. Further, by making the angle of contact to other than 90deg, stresses act as to bend the curved surface and, accordingly, they can be absorbed by the resiliency of the member. (N.H.)
