The enrichment situation in the German Federal Republic

Description

The author gives a review of the separation energy requirement and the supply situation in the German Federal Republic. The requirement is based on the present forecast of the planned installed electrical output from nuclear energy in accordance with the energy programme of the Federal Government. The enrichment requirement in the EEC is also discussed taking into account the various uncertainties in the long-term forecast. The most important conditions in an enrichment contract and the development of prices are dealt with. Finally the future enrichment policy in the German Federal Republic is discussed from the point of view of the electricity supply companies. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

Der Verfasser gibt einen Ueberblick ueber den Trennarbeitsbedarf und die Versorgungssituation in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Der Bedarf beruht auf der aktuellen Vorausschaetzung der nach dem Energieprogramm der Bundesregierung geplanten installierten elektrischen Leistung auf Kernenergie. Der Anreicherungsbedarf in der Europaeischen Gemeinschaft wird ebenfalls diskutiert unter Beruecksichtigung der verschiedenen Unsicherheiten bei einer langfristigen Prognose. Die wichtigsten Bedingungen eines Anreicherungsvertrages und die Preisentwicklung werden behandelt. Schliesslich wird die zukuenftige Anreicherungspolitik in der Bundesrepublik aus der Sicht der Elektrizitaetsversorgungsunternehmen behandelt. (orig.)
