Wind energy in France - Atlas of wind energy 2016: the complete atlas of wind farms in France

A first article comments the evolution of the French wind energy installed power which has been rather regularly increasing, lately at a rate close to 1 GW per year, the challenge being now to reach a higher rate. The article proposes graphs indicating the evolution of wind-based electricity production in France since 2002. It also presents and comments graphs of installed power in 2016 and expected power in 2019 for the different French regions, and notices that three regions concentrate more than a half of the production. It indicates and comments the evolution of the average power of machines installed every year, the evolution of the average power of connected wind farms, the shares of the different manufacturer in terms of installed power, and the various offshore projects. The second article briefly presents the fourteenth release of the atlas of wind farms in France, and provides a map indicating the level of installed and expected power in the different French regions
