Electric conductivity of Sm S thin films

Description
Behaviour of electric conductivity of Sm S films at different frequencies in 80-410 K range was analyzed. It is shown that in films with semiconductive temperature dependence of electric conductivity, charge transport is performed due to the following mechanisms: band conductivity by carriers, activated from impurity levels with Ei ∼ 0.06 eV; jump conductivity by carriers, excited to localized states near the bottom of conduction band; tunnelling of localized 4 f-electrons between neighboring Sm2+ and Sm3+ ions. 11 refs., 6 figs
