Efficiencies of NaI(Tl) scintillation crystals detector for γ ray produced by β+ particle annihilation

Description
The total absolute efficiencies of NaI(Tl) scintillation crystals detector for Marinelli Beaker with the gas source of β+ decay radionuclide, which occurs β+ decay to produce positron and then positron-electron annihilation to produce γ ray, is calculated by Monte Carlo method. In the calculating, with considering this fact that annihilation probability relates to matter density, the conclusion that this detection efficiency is high to that of uniform γ volume source is obtained
