Description
In order to clarify the dynamic strength characteristics of a graphite component under stress concentration condition, the static and dynamic fracture tests were performed using scale-model specimens of the component. The strain rate applied to the specimens was around 10-5 l/s in the static test and 1 to 5 l/s in the dynamic test. As a result of the experiment, it was found that the ratio of the dynamic strength to the static one depends on the stress gradient in the specimen; the specimen with higher stress gradient shows a higher value of the strength. Moreover, it was also found that there is a critical stress gradient at which the strength ratio reaches almost a constant value even if the stress gradient increases in the specimens. (author)

応力集中を有する黒鉛構造物の動的強度特性を明らかにすることを目的に、HTTR炉床部黒鉛構造物のキー溝部を模擬したモデル試験片を用いた静的試験および動的試験を実施し、応力集中を有する黒鉛構造物の動的強度特性を調べた。その結果、応力集中を有する場合の動的強度は、静的強度よりも約20%上昇した。この動的強度の静的強度に対する増加率は、試験片に加わる応力勾配に影響され、応力勾配の上昇により増加することを明らかにした。さらに、ある臨界の応力勾配が存在し、それ以上応力勾配を上昇させても、動的破壊が表面領域の微細組織に影響される破壊モードとなると、動的強度の静的強度に対する増加が一定値となり、上限値が存在することが分かった。(日本)Additional details
