Description
The electronic heat capacity, magnetic and structural properties of the ternary YFe/sub 3-x/Ni/sub x/ system, with 0<x< or =3, have been investigated. All compounds have been found to crystallize in the PuNi3 type structure. The variation of the lattice parameters, saturation magnetization values and electronic heat capacity coefficients with increasing nickel content has been obtained over the entire range of x. The heat capacity and magnetic results can be discussed in terms of the rigid band model
