Description
We investigate hadronic matter and nuclear properties within an effective chiral model description. We study nuclear structure properties including nuclear deformation over a wide range of nuclei. Some results on neutron star properties within the model will be presented. We discuss the phase structure of the model at high temperatures and densities in comparison to lattice calculations.
