Description
Studies of nuclear reactions relevant to astrophysical scenario, often require measurement of cross section in picocarbon to nano-barn range. So targets are needed which are extremely pure isotopically and can withstand high beam load over a long time. In the present work, the preparation and characterisation of primarily the surface properties of a 14N implanted target are discussed
