Description
Recent photon scattering studies carried out with #betta#-rays are described. These investigations are concerned with (i) high-precision studies of electronic Rayleigh and Delbrueck scattering, (ii) nuclear Rayleigh scattering in the giant-dipole-resonance region and below the particle threshold, (iii) strength distribution and spacings of nuclear levels, and (iv) measurements of nuclear lifetimes by studying the microspectra of #betta#-lines with nuclear resonance fluorescence.
