Ignition density bounds and collective modes of fusing nuclei

Description
In the process of achieving ignition conditions collective modes (microinstabilities), which lead to enhanced transport of the fusing nuclei, are likely to be present. When such phenomena are taken into account an appropriate formulation of ignition criteria becomes necessary, and two distinct bounds on the plasma density are identified
