Description
The report devotes 3 chapters to describing the work of the Institute. In the sector of 'basic investigations', there were measurements of the isotope contents of precipitation and groundwater (2H, 18O, 36Cl) and groundwater isotope dating using 3He and 4He. In the field of 'applied investigations', work was done on local flow fields with single borehole measurements and hydrological conditions on the Asse (mountains) in connection with the storage of radio-active waste and the spread of radio-nuclides in ventilated rocks in the area of the planned final store at Gorleben and isotope hydrological investigations in the Upper Harz mountains and in the Antarctic were carried out. The 3rd chapter summarizes the apparatus and method developments in connecting with these investigations. The report closes by listing the publications, lectures and other institutions co-operating in the work. (RB)

Der Bericht informiert in 3 Kapiteln ueber die Arbeiten des Instituts. Auf dem Sektor 'Grundlagenuntersuchungen' standen Messungen von Isotopengehalten in Niederschlags- und Grundwasser (2H, 18O, 36Cl) sowie Grundwasserdatierungen unter Verwendung von 3He und 4He im Vordergrund. Im Bereich 'Angewandte Untersuchungen' wurden Arbeiten ueber lokale Stroemungsfelder mit Einbohrlochmessungen durchgefuehrt sowie hydrogeologische Verhaeltnisse an der Pose im Zusammenhang mit der Lagerung von radioaktiven Abfaellen und die Ausbreitung von Radionukliden in klueftigen Festgesteinen im Bereich der Schachtanlage Konrad studiert; ferner wurden u.a. Untersuchungen zur Ausbreitung von Radionukliden in tieferen Porengrundwaessern im Bereich des geplanten Endlagers Gorleben sowie isotopenhydrologische Untersuchungen im Oberharz und in der Antarktis durchgefuehrt. Das 3. Kapitel fasst die apparativen und methodischen Entwicklungen im Zusammenhang mit den Untersuchungen zusammen. Der Bericht schliesst mit der Auflistung von Veroeffentlichungen, Vortraegen und kooperierenden Institutionen. (RB)
