Monochromatizing x-rays
Description
The patent describes a subassembly, method and system for monochromatizing x-rays. The apparatus comprises an assembly of x-ray dispersive structures, which are spaced and aligned to intercept x-rays from an x-ray source. The dispersive structures have at least one surface with many x-ray dispersive layers formed on it, which are able to monochromatize and reflect the x-rays intercepted by the structures. The monochromatized x-rays can be designed to be diverging, parallel or converging. (UK)
