Higgs-boson production in polarized e+e/sup -/ colliding beams and supersymmetry

  • 1. Physics Institute, Academy of Sciences of the Azerbaidzhan SSR (USSR)

Description

The possibilities of seeking the Higgs boson in the new generation of e+e/sup -/ colliders are investigated in the framework of supersymmetry theory. It is shown that at initial-beam energies (s)/sup 1/2/ approx > 1 TeV the total cross section of the process e+e/sup -/ yields mu mu H is approximately two orders of magnitude greater than the cross section of the standard process e+e/sup -/ yields mu/sup +/ mu/sup -/ H. It is found that such polarization characteristics of the processes under consideration as the spin asymmetry and the polarization of one of the initial beams differ in sign, and this can serve as a good test for the identification of supersymmetry
