On the consistency of electromagnetic form factors and ππ scattering in the rho(1600) region
Description
A two channel doubly-substracted dispersion relation representation of the 2π and 4π electromagnetic form factors is constructed from a predetermined two-channel p-wave ππ-scattering amplitude. We find that a good representation of the pion form factor can be achieved but only at the expense of the Fsub(4π) form factor. It seems to be difficult to reconcile all of the data in the rho(1600) region within a two resonance framework indicating additional rho-like resonant structure in this energy region. (orig.)
