Process of electrolytic production of tunqsten-iron powder of given composition

  • 1. Leningradskij Politekhnicheskij Inst. (USSR)

Description

The paper is concerned with a process of electrodeposition of the W-Fe alloy powders with combined anodes applied in electrolysis. It is possible to produce such a powder electrolytically by means of cathode simultaneous reduction of tungsten and iron under conditions of diffusion kinetics. It is studied how various electrolysis parameters influence current efficiency, chemical composition and dispersion degree of the W-Fe powder. Optimal conditions for the powder electrolytical production are determined. It is shown that the iron-to-tungsten relation in the solution should be chosen with regard for the required powder composition. The phase structure of electrolytic powders is similar to the structure of equilibrium W-Fe alloys
