Possible correlation of the anomalous thermal behavior of NbSe3 to mobile defects

In this paper the model of quasi-regular impurity (defect) distribution driven by CDW is used to suggest a possible explanation of the anomalous thermal behavior (thermal hysteresis, latent heats, etc.) found at the CDW transitions in the linear chain compound NbSe3
