Gamma-ray bursts observed from OSO-6

Description

Four cosmic gamma-ray bursts were observed above 30 keV by NRL's x-ray spectrometer on board OSO-6 in the period 1969 August to 1972 January. The time histories and energy loss spectra of these events are presented. Data concerning the possible locations of nine of the bursts detected by the Vela satellites in this time period are discussed. The unique source location determined for the event of 1/2/71 from the Vela and Uhuru observations is questioned
