Synthesis of strainhardening coatings on the basis of cubic boron nitride in afterglow of ultra-high frequency discharge

Description
BN films are produced on different materials in afterglow of ultra-high frequency discharge from borazine under substantially soft temperature regimes. Using IR-spectroscopy and electron diffraction methods it is shown that the coatings produced contain a cubic boron nitride phase. It is ascertained that boron nitride films, produced by the method proposed, possess a high value of microhardness (15-56 GPa). 18 refs.; 6 figs.; 2 tabs
