Deactivation of O2 (1Δg) by diphthalocyanines of rare-earth metals

Description
Catalytic activity of diphthalocyanines of some rare earths (Ln-Phc2; Ln=Pr, Nd, Eu, Ho, Er, Lu) in reactions of singlet molecular oxygen (1O2) deactivation was studied by the method of luminescence spectroscopy. Kinetic data on the rates of interaction between Ln-Phc2 and 1O2 in benzene solutions were obtained in the course of experiments on 1O2 luminescence quenching, which is sensibilized by anthracene. It is shown that the rate of 1O2 deactivation actually does not depend on metal nature, being controlled by diffusion. High oxidation resistance of Ln-Phc2 is pointed out
Abstract (Russian)
Методом люминесцентной спектроскопии изучена каталитическая активность дифталоцианинов некоторых редкоземельных элементов (Ln-Phc2; Ln=Pr, Nd, Eu, Ho, Er, Lu) в реакциях дезактивации синглетного молекулярного кислорода (1O2). Кинетичские данные о скоростях взаимодействия Ln-Phc2 с 1O2 в бензольных растворах получены в экспериментах по тушению люминесценции 1O2, сенсибилизированной антраценом. Показано, что скорость дезактивации 1O2 практически не зависит от природы металла и контролируется диффузией. Отмечена высокая устойчивость Ln-Phc2 к окислениюAdditional details
