Description
Whereas the photovoltaic (PV) solar sector has already known two industrial phases, the development of Positive Energy Buildings (BEPOS) could introduce a new deal. Thus, this study aims at analysing these impacts by considering regulatory and technical conditions proper to future building thermal regulations, by assessing the influence of these conditions on the PV market, and by studying consequences on possible reconfigurations of offers (for electricity) or of sectors (for PV). The authors state that the new building sector will have to deeply evolve regarding future regulations, that the definition of BEPOS by public authorities will mechanically favour some energies, that PV should become a major component for the building as of 2020, that the BEPOS market could allow the installation of 800 MW/year of PV from 2020, that new business models of energy trade related to PV could emerge under the influence of BEPOS, and that the photovoltaic industrial sector will have to adapt itself to the new levers of its development (high efficiency, integrated solutions, building integration)
