The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran was pleased to organize a national conference on nuclear science and technology. This conference has been cordially supported by numerous scientists of academic circles of Iran. The arrangement of the program was oriented to further stimulate the topics discussed, and to promote applications of nuclear technology in agriculture, industries and also medicine. The main topics of the conference were: 1. Atomic and nuclear physics and chemistry. 2. Applications of nuclear instruments and methods in medicine, agriculture and industry. 3. Nuclear power plants and related technology. 4. Safety of nuclear power plants. 5. Exploration and mining of nuclear raw material
