Environmental radiation measurement at 'Racso' Nuclear Center using thermoluminescent dosimetry

  • 1. Direccion General de Seguridad Radiologica, Instituto Peruano de Energia Nuclear, Lima (Peru)

Description

Thermoluminescent dosimetry has been used to measure environmental radiation due to gamma radiation in the vicinity of 'Racso' nuclear center. CaF2:Dy thermoluminescent dosemeters, used in this measurement, were located at four stations, known as G, F, A and AZ. The results obtained from the exposure rates at the above-mentioned locations, in the 1993 to 1997 period, are: 10,4μR/h (14,2%), 7,5μR/h (13,5%), 7,9μR/h (14,4%), 7,5μR/h (14,0%), respectively
