Stars of bosons with non-minimal energy-momentum tensor
Description
We obtain spherically symmetric solutions for scalar fields with a non-minimal coupling ξ absolute value of phi2 R to gravity. We find, for fields of mass m, maximum masses and number of particles of order M/sub max/ ∼ 0.73ξ/sup 1/2/ M/sub Planck/2/m, and N/sub max/ ∼ 0.88ξ/sup 1/2/ M/sub Planck/2/m2 respectively, for large positive ξ. For large negative ξ we find, M/sub max/ ∼ 0.66 absolute value of ξ/sup 1/2/ M/sub Planck/2/m, and N/sub max/ ∼ 0.72 absolute value of ξ/sup 1/2/ M/sub Planck/2/m2
