Description
An interpolating filter has been devised for reducing differential and integral nonlinearity in the measurements of the avalanche position in MWPCs by the charge induced on cathode strips. Theoretical computations and experimental results for the case of one amplifier per strip are presented showing a significant improvement of the linearity. (orig.)
