Formation of micronuclei in human lymphocytes after partial and whole body irradiation
Creators
Description
The objectives of the project are the development of reliable methods to determine radiation dose in accidentally exposed persons using the micronucleus technique. The objectives of the reporting period include establishing a micro-culture technique for human lymphocytes; introducing the cytochalasin B method and fixation of cells with preservation of cytoplasm; proliferation kinetics of stimulated lymphocytes; radiation induced micronuclei in lymphocytes of healthy donors exposed in vitro and in lymphocytes exposed either in vivo or in vitro.
