Description
The decay width for τ→ωπντ is calculated using a general low-energy effective Lagrangian for pseudoscalar and vector mesons with U(3)xU(3) chiral symmetry. The relevant couplings are determined empirically from vector-meson decays. A comparison with results coming from the vector-meson-dominance model is given
