Description
The BaBar experiment, located in SLAC at the PEPII e+e- asymmetric storage ring, achieved the luminosity of 477fb-1, so Spectroscopy studies at the energy in the center of mass of 10.58 GeV/c2, the threshold of Y(4S) production, have been possible. The B-Factory BaBar offers an excellent opportunity in searching new states and their decay modes to understand their nature (charm and charmonium physics). From December 2007 the possibility to run at the energy of Y(3S) and Y(2S) was opened, in order to search also for bottomonium states and light Higgs. In addition, a scan around Y(4S), collecting a point every 25pb-1, was done until the end of the runs, 10th of April 2008. There are several motivations to perform Spectroscopy studies at B-factories, mainly to do measurements of high precision and try to fully understand QCD. In fact, several resonances observed do not fit theoretical predictions. They can be classified in two main categories: light mesons (like f0, K*,...), and heavy hadrons (e.g. cs-bar and cc-bar mesons, and light baryons). Here below the main results recently observed in the field of Heavy Hadron Physics at BaBar are briefly presented
