The 1985 annual report summarises the research activities and results in the fields of drug safety and the protection of consumers against health hazards, environmental hygiene, radiation hygiene, and prophylactic measures and interventions. The various tasks and targets of the many institutes co-operating in the research programmes of the Federal Health Office and some important facts and data on the Office's infrastructure, services, commissions, etc. are introduced. Der vorliegende Taetigkeitsbericht berichtet ueber die Forschungstaetigkeit auf den Gebieten Arzneimittelsicherheit, gesundheitlicher Verbraucherschutz, Umwelthygiene, Strahlenhygiene sowie Praevention und Intervention. Ausserdem werden die Ziele und Aufgaben der verschiedenen Institute im Forschungsverbund sowie einige interessante Daten und Fakten ueber Infrastruktur, zentrale Dienste, Kommissionen etc. vorgestellt.
