Isotope effects of barium in amalgam / aqueous hydroxide solution system

  • 1. Tokyo Inst. of Tech. (Japan)

Description

The isotope effects of barium in the amalgam/aqueous hydroxide solution system have been studied throughout the electrolytic and decomposing processes. Two different isotope fractionations for which the enrichment directions are opposite each other were observed in the electrolytic process. The isotope effect has been investigated under the electrochemical equilibria as a function of temperature by both of the single-stage and multi-stage techniques. (author)
