12C-12C optical potential at 1016 MeV by inversion: effect of non-eikonal correction

  • 1. Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah (Saudi Arabia)

Description

We study the effect of the non-eikonal corrections on the determination of heavy-ion optical potential from the diffraction model phase shifts at intermediate energies. Considering the case of a 12C-12C system at 1016 MeV and the McIntyre parametrization for the diffraction model phase shifts, we find that the effect is significant for the imaginary potential around the diffraction radius.
