Description
The development of mineral deposits is accompanied by a violation of the natural environment, including its components such as the river network, soils, plants and biota. One of the promising methods for analyzing environmental objects during monitoring studies is the X-ray fluorescence method. The use of the XRF method in the study of the elemental composition of soils and plants and their contamination makes it possible to study the chemical composition of the objects under study with a sufficient degree of reliability and allows the use of XRF to assess the degree and identify sources of soil and plant contamination by a large set of chemical elements. The purpose of the work was to assess the degree of contamination of soil and vegetation in the area affected by a coal mining enterprise.
