Mechanical properties and structure of welded joints of low alloy structural pearlitic steel by different welding procedures

Description

Weldability of sheet 330 E steel with 60 mm thickness is studied at manual (MAW) and automatic submerged arc welding (ASAW) and electron-beam welding (EBW). It is shown that at EBW of lowcarbon pearlitic steel it is possble to obtain qualitative joints using standard regimes of heat treatment after welding. It is found out that at the working temperature weld metal obtained at EBW is of higher plasticity than obtained at MAW and ASAW. Relative values of time resistance and of assumed yield strength are higher than at ASAW - the main type of welding under the industrial conditions
