Description
Four newly prepared benzoxazine and quinazoline compounds were subjected to gamma-irradiation up to an integral dose of 0.05 MGy. UV , IR and mass spectral data were recorded after irradiation. The UV results showed that the absorption bands demonstrated their highest absorptivity values at a particular irradiation dose for each compound. On the basis of the structural physical protection and the mass spectral data, the most liable position towards radiation were suggested. In one case, chemical isomerism provided a possible role in establishing a physical protection towards irradiation
