A TEA nitrogen laser for optical diagnostics of the plasma focus

  • 1. Malaya Univ., Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). Dept. of Physics

Description

A simple and compact TEA nitrogen laser suitable for interferometric measurements on the plasma focus has been realised. Homogeneous beam quality having output energy of about 300 μJ and 1 ns pulse duration is easily obtained. This laser can also be used for Schlieren and shadow photography. (author). 10 refs, 6 figs
