Electroproduction of Majorana neutrinos

Description
In the standard model with right-handed neutrinos the charged weak current in general contains light and heavy Majorana neutrinos. We calculate the production cross section for heavy neutrinos in electron-proton scattering and also the transverse momentum spectrum of the final state leptons. At HERA Majorana neutrinos with masses up to 180 GeV can be produced for charged current couplings consistent with universality. (orig.)
