Development of automatic data collection and remote diagnostic system for motor operated valves
Description
An automatic data collection and remote diagnostic system for motor operated valves in nuclear power plant was developed. The usual method for maintenance of motor operated valves consists of many steps such as diagnosis, report, taking out the equipment, collection of automatic data collector, data collection, preparing the equipment, carrying it in and adjustment. However, new automatic data collection and remote diagnostic system makes possible to collect automatically data, to send data to the office and specialists and to decrease the cost. A simple operation type diagnostic system decreased the operation steps by automatic diagnostic functions. The automatic data collection system detects the magnetic sensor signals under normal conditions and when it catches trigger signals, it records the data from 5 second before. Accordingly, the initial data can be collected. It can collect data of eight motor operated valves at the same time. (S.Y.)
