Closing valve for cylindrical proportional chambers

There are two openings in the base plate of the valve, which is also the lid of the chamber. One leads into the chamber, the other into a U-shaped inlet tube whose both branches run through the chamber lid and are welded on to it. At the point of the openings a circular membrane connects with the base plate which along the periphery is held down with the valve body and in the middle is pinned to a pressure plate. The shaft of the valve is provided with a thread as is the valve body in which it turns. Its one end is pivoted in the pressure plate, the other end is connected to the valve control disk. The valve body is screwed to the base plate. When the valve opens the chamber space is connected through the opening in the lid via the space under the membrane to the opening of the inlet tube connected to the outlet tube. (J.B.)
