Underground NPP's: efficiency and safety
Description
APS operation safety and factors influencing on the population and environment safety at accidents are examined. The possibility to avoid the environment radioactive contamination at heavy hypothetical accident on AES underground location is substantiated. The review and classification of underground APS is carried out; reactor types used in operating and designed underground APS are examined. The operational use of ship type reactors to the underground APS also as the use of ship-building technology are based. It will increase the economical result of APS and will guarantee the additional population and environment safety at accidents and extreme external effects
