Some results and trends of scientific and technical development of geophysics in uranium mineralization prospecting

Description

The trends are characterized of the technical development of scientific research and development of new methods and equipment for geophysical surveying in the years 1975 to 1983. Drilling equipment was modernized and new types of logging equipment were developed for the application of deep gamma logging and the alpha track method was developed for radon detection using solid state track detectors. The task was solved of raising the efficacy of magnetometric measurements using proton magnetometers. Scintillation probes were introduced in the gamma logging equipment. Attention was devoted to data processing from geophysical measurements and to the development of instruments for data interpretation and processing. The development is discussed of the laser luminescence analyser and methods for the determination of migratory uranium in water samples. The most important task is the complex interpretation of geological and geophysical documents for forecasting uranium ore mineralization in the Czech massif. (M.D.)
