Description

The aim of this paper is to study the influence of the curvature and the compressibility energies on prescission neutron emission of four neutron-deficient systems: 188Pt, 200Pb, 213Fr and 224Th within a modified version of the combined dynamical statistical model. The calculated results show that prescission neutron multiplicities from the modified model are closer to the data compared with the underestimate of the original one. The physics that the compressibility energy needs to be considered in this work is discussed. (authors)
