Some aspects of uptake of vanadate by lead hydroxylapatite
Description
The uptake of vanadate by the synthetic lead hydroxylapatite is facilated by increase in (VO4)3- concentration, a decrease in pH of the medium of exchange and in the particle size of the lead hydroxylapatite. Adsorption of (VO4)3-and its accompanying diffusion into the interior of the crystals of lead hydroxylapatite explain the mechanism of exchange. (M.G.B.)
