Description
Photoionization in allene doped liquid Ar by fission fragments has been observed. Energy spectra obtained by charge collection was as good as that observed by the scintillation signal. The results demonstrate that allene doped liquid Ar can be used as a photoionization detector for very high LET particles. (orig.)
