Effects of formation time and color transparency on the production of leading particles off nuclei

Description

Production of the leading particles in hadron-nucleus interactions at high energies is free from the nuclear cascading influence and is most sensitive to the formation time dependence on the particle momentum. Besides, these processes are sensitive to the inelastic corrections which make nuclei more transparent. This provides also a possibility to test the QCD prediction on the nuclear colour transparency, which is only a special case of the inelastic shadowing. The approach based on the dual string model and taking into account all these effects is developed. It is tested on a bulk of data and obtain a nice agreement. 35 refs.; 14 figs
