Tensimetric study of thermodynamic properties of CdAs2

Description
Pressure of vapour in the equilibrium state with crystalline Cd3As2 and CdAs2 is measured using static tensimetry technique. Standard enthalpy of ΔfH0(CdAs2(solid), 298.15 k) = -(30.5±0.8) kJ/mol. formation is determined using calculations according to the 2-nd and 3-rd laws of thermodynamics. Effect of deviation from stoichiometry in CdAs2 on the value of ΔfH0 is discussed
