Thermoluminescence dosimetry at 2500C using natural fluorite

Description
Fluorite has been used for the dosimetry of gamma radiation from radionuclides that have 'plated-out' on component surfaces in the Prototype Fast Reactor at Dounreay. At an ambient temperature of 2500C the minimum detectable dose is 1 mGy (0.1 rad.). (orig.)
