High Psub(t) processes and the EAS cores
Description
On the basis of a far away approximation of the observed in the accelerator region multiplicity increase in p-p collisions with generation of a high Psub(t) particle the development of nuclear cascade process in the atmosphere, caused by a heavy fireball, and some experimentally observable characteristics are calculated. If one tries to explain the experimentally observed proportion of EAS with complicated core structure with such a process he has to evaluate the needed cross-section as not less than 8-10 percents of the total inelastic p-air cross-section in the energy interval 105-106 GeV. Abstract (German)
Auf der Grundlage einer Approximation der im Beschleunigerbereich vergroesserten Multiplizitaet bei Protonen-Protonenzusammenstoessen mit Erzeugung von Teilchen mit grossem transversalem Impuls, wurde die Entwicklung von nuklearen Kaskaden in der Atmosphaere, die durch einen 'Fireball' ausgeloest wurden, und einige weitere beobachtbare Charakteristika berechnet. Wenn man versucht, die beobachteten Verhaeltnisse in einen extensiven Luftschauer mit komplizierter Kernstruktur durch einen solchen Prozess zu erklaeren, muss man die Wirkungsquerschnitte mit 8-10% des totalen inelastischen Protonen-Luft-Wirkungsquerschnittes im Energiebereich 105-106 GeV ansetzen.
