Description

Reduction of molybdenum pentachloride and tungsten hexachloride with metallic Mg in THF in the presence of tertiary organic phosphines in N2, H2 or CO atmosphere has been studied. It is shown that this method is convenient for preparing nitrogeneous M(N2)2L4, hydride MN4L4 and carbonyl M(CO)6-xLx (M=Mo, W; L - tertiary organic phosphine) complexes of molybdenum and tungsten. Physico-chemical characteristics of complexes prepared are presented
