The critical length and thickness of the hydride platelets for delayed hydride cracking of zirconium alloys
Description
Method for the calculation of critical length and thickness of hydrides on delayed hydride disintegration in industrial zirconium alloys is developed. Estimation of critical characteristics of hydride separations for Zr-2.5% Nb alloy tubes is conducted. During isothermal tests length of the first decomposed hydride cluster formed near the top of fatigue crack is determined. It was shown that theoretical results were agreed with experimental data
Abstract (Russian)
Additional details
