Description
With the advent of short half-life bone-seeking radiopharmaceuticals and of high-speed, total body imaging apparatus, the skeletal scintigram has become an important clinical tool. Strontium-87m, fluorine 18 and Technetium-99m, labelled phosphate complexes have emerged as the most suitable. This review article discusses the uses of bone scanning in the study of various skeletal and other diseases, e.g. congenital, metabolic and vascular
